The separate Telangana statehood movement is gaining momentum here with the Telangana Joint Action Committee planning to organise a massive “Telangana march – Karimnagar torch”, a massive rally in Karimnagar town on September 16 as a prelude to the proposed Telangana march in Hyderabad on September 30.

Grand success
The Telangana JAC is leaving no stone unturned to make the programme a grand success and accordingly roping in the support of all sections of society.
The TJAC leaders have started organising meetings in all 13 assembly segments in the district and mobilizing their support for the success of the rally. The JACs of various organisations such as the student JAC, employees’ JAC, traders, and other communities were also involved .

Involvement of all
The TJACs in various mandals have already started taking out rallies for the success of the Karimnagar rally. The leaders want to ensure that all sections of the society including artists, employees, teachers and other Telangana protagonists participate in the rally.

Gadkari’s visit
Telangana JAC coordinator Pittal Ravinder told ‘The Hindu’ that they were also planning to invite BJP national president Nitin Gadkari, who would visit Karimnagar on September 16 to participate in a seminar on the plight of the region organised by the Martyrs Memorial Research Institute (MMRI) to give a fillip to the statehood movement.
He said that the Karimnagar rally on September 16 would definitely create the mood and necessary hype for the statehood movement.
