Telangana
JAC chief Prof. Kodandaram has asserted that the Telangana March would
be on the Tank Bund as decided earlier and assured that it would be
totally peaceful.
Speaking to the media after a meeting
of the TJAC at the TNGO Bhavan here on Monday, he said the March was
titled 'Sagara Haram'. He said platforms were being provided for the
Telangana folk artistes to perform different art forms on the occasion.
No police permission needed
Referring
to questions being raised about police permission for the March, he
said they would only inform the police and it was for them to make
arrangements for protecting law and order.
Kodandaram has
appealed to the Telangana ministers to cooperate to make the March
successful and without a hitch. He has also asked them to participate in
the March if the Centre failed to announce Telangana y September 30. He
has said that the March was necessitated only because of the failure of
the ministers. He said it was time for the ministers to decide if they
would be with the people or the Seemandhra leaders and added that the
March was the final deadline for them. He said it would be foolish on
the part of the government to try to quell the March or the Telangana
movement. He has asserted that the movement would be intensified
further.
Referring to the Bio Diversity Conference being
held in Hyderabad, Kodandaram has said that a photo exhibition would be
held during the March to show to the world how the bio diversity of
Telangana was being spoiled by the Seemandhra rulers.
