Mayavati passed the Resolution to split UP into 4 smaller states

Lucknow, Nov-21: A resolution passed by UP Chief Minister Mayawati to split up Uttar Pradesh in to four smaller states was passed by voice vote amid uproar in the UP Assembly. The move on the opening day of the winter session comes ahead of the 2012 elections in Uttar Pradesh state.
Within seconds of its commencement almost the entire opposition in of both houses rose up to unanimously demand the ouster of the Mayawati government.
Terming the government as most as most corrupt opposition members in both houses went on raising slogans against the mayawati regime.
The Samajwadi party(SP) proposes to move a no-confidence motion against the Bahujan Samajwadi Party(BSP) government and the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has assured its support for it.
But, Mayawati who has slender numerical majority in the house and she managed to get the resolution passed by voice vote. And all other parties are firmly against to split up Uttar Pradesh in to smaller states.
