T-JAC Sansad yatra aimed at building pressure on Centre

Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC) chairman M. Kodandaram
hassaid they have planned ‘sansad yatra’, a two-day protest in New Delhi on April 29 and 30, only to build pressure on the Centre in the matter of Telangana.
Speaking at a meeting of the local unit of TJAC here on Saturday he said they would try to mould society of Telangana into an independent political entity to ensure justice to the region. Comprehensive development of the region would be possible only when the people achieve self-rule.

Prof. Kodandaram stated that achieving statehood to Telangana was the only way out to protect the self-esteem of the region’s people now. They would try to unite people politically through the movement.

Meanwhile, the TJAC leaders asked the party's district and mandal-level committees s to participate in the birth anniversary celebration of B.R. Ambedkar, who favoured smaller states for better development and social justice.

After meeting the leaders of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seeking their support for ‘sansad yatra’, the TJAC leaders would visit districts to make the Delhi protest a success.
