Non-Cooperation Movement of Telangana

On 5th Feb, 2011 Telangana Political Joint Action Committee convenor Kodandaram on Saturday warned the state government that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi would launch a 'non-cooperation movement' from February 17 if the Centre fails to provide an assurance that it will introduce the Telangana Bill in the BUDGET SESSION of Parliament.

Talking to media persons after submitting a memorandum to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his Camp Office, the JAC convenor said Telangana leaders would intensify their non-cooperative movement in all Telangana districts.

He called upon employees, students, voluntary agencies, political party leaders, and members of the Telangana JAC and NGOs to participate in the agitation.

Kodandaram said Telangana leaders have given the Centre enough time, but that it was resorting to delaying tactics by not introducing the Bill even after the submission of the Justice Srikrishna Committee's report.
